What is the supply?
Supply will be announced next week. (more info in AMA #2)
Will the team be transparent about how they arrive at the mint price?
Yes definitely, every decision we make will be justified and explained in detail. For example, we made a twitter thread about why our discord is closed, we plan on doing the same for pretty much all pertinent information such as mint price, supply, roadmap, etc.

Physical versions, merch? Exclusive to holders?
Definitely something we want to do, we have a lot of experience and contacts in the apparel/production world. Can’t share too many details yet.
Where did the “DeFi Frens” name come from?
DeFi Frens, or decentralized finance friends for long, is a literal term. Making new friends and bonding over DeFi is something many can relate to, from following people whom you’ve never met before on Crypto Twitter to reaching out to somebody in a mutual Discord server. Every team member has formed some sort of friendship through DeFi. We are quite literally, DeFi Frens.
Story behind DeFi Frens
As for lore, there is none. But we wanted our characters to serve a similar goal as funko pops and how they can be dressed up and customized in any ways while staying iconic.
What made us team up and what are our goals.
We were all friends before getting into the space but DeFi is one of the major reasons why we got closer. We want to build a tight knit community as well as create something with and for our community.
Wen drop?
No set date but we are aiming to launch in late March 2022 however, we will launch when we’re 100% ready. We don’t want to compromise on the quality in order to launch faster so we will launch when we are totally confident and happy with the final product. (more info in AMA #2)
Will the discord eventually be public?
We inevitably will have to open our doors at one point, but first and foremost we want our foundation to be strong. We are planning to open the discord close to mint date as it’s a very valuable source of information for anybody interested in the project.
How often will we hear from the team and get updates post mint?
We want to be as engaged and open as possible with our holders and community. That being said, we plan on having a consistent flow of communication with everyone. We want to make it very clear that the team is here to stay and you will be hearing from us post mint whether it be for updates, events, or even community games!
How do frens fit in the metaverse?
Metaverse ready, experimenting with AR (more TBA)
How to avoid flippers?
Holders benefit (more TBA), very strong community, carefully chosen frenlist members.
Collabs with other projects
Will definitely happen, we have a lot in the works but we don’t want to spoil the surprises!
How are we approaching collabs?
The first thing we do with any potential collaboration is getting on a call, getting to know each others team and project more, learn what their intentions are in the space and whatnot. We are not really looking to rush into it and we (our team + community) want to resonate with who we collaborate with.
Will there be different color backgrounds?
They won’t all be grey that’s for sure. We will showcase more later on.
Will there be 1 of 1 in the collection?
There will definitely be 1 of 1s in the mint pool.
What’s so special about this project?
We think the art speaks for itself, the details and style is super unique — it’s also not its final form! We are a super transparent team and we aim to build something alongside our community.
Why do we choose to be so attached to our community?
Simple answer, we genuinely like our community, everyone has been nothing short of amazing in helping us grow and learn. Without our community we also couldn’t achieve our goals, the community is the heart of our project.
What are we expecting from the community?
Nothing but love. We aren’t expecting or want anybody to do something they wouldn’t do on their own accord.
